A secure civil society
Natural disasters and critical events threaten our everyday lives. To strengthen Norway's emergency preparedness, we are designing new ways to collaborate and innovate.
Societal security and preparedness means being ready for crises we hope will not happen. In the face of a wilder climate, an unstable world, and an increasing degree of hybrid threats—meaning the coordinated use of military and non-military means—we must plan to protect people and our values.
Ensuring that we have a safe civil society is complex and crosses sectors.
There are many actors and new technological solutions that must speak to each other when both natural and man-made events threaten our daily lives. This requires new ways to collaborate and innovate.
Design methods such as system design and public service design contribute to holistic work on societal security and preparedness. Security requires a shared understanding of the problem we need to solve and a clear direction for a desired future.
At Halogen, we have extensive experience working with societal security. We have strong domain knowledge that we combine with design.
