Regenerative and inclusive neighbourhoods
Good development of our neighbourhoods balances societal growth and the needs of the individual.
The local communities around us shape our lives. Their development represents a huge opportunity to influence welfare and quality of life for many, over the long term.
These development processes are resource-intensive and complex. Many considerations must be addressed, and various disciplines need to work together, while authorities, neighbourhoods, and other stakeholders are imposing increasingly high demands on what development of our local communities should achieve.
Halogen’s designers are experienced in driving such processes towards results that meet the needs of users and stakeholders, whilst delivering on economic, social, and sustainability criteria. Our methods combine different design disciplines in a systemic approach that encompasses both individuals and societal development.
In planning and construction processes, we ensure that the needs of various stakeholders shape the solutions. We facilitate innovative, co-creative processes that build understanding and enthusiasm for the changes ahead. By linking design methods with research-based domain knowledge, we build a broad and solid knowledge base. We then translate this knowledge into decision-making frameworks to make safe and informed choices.
We specialise in developing comprehensive, sustainable concepts that demonstrate how projects can create both value and a good quality of life for residents, without compromising nature and the environment.
